First Impressions: Theron’s anti-hero looks set to stir up plenty of drama, but still endear us.

In A Nutshell: Chris’ (Wahlberg) days as a contraband smuggler are over, but  just when he thinks hethe’s out, his brother–in-law pulls him back in  to complete one last job, putting his wife and children’s life in jeapoardy.

First Impressions: Action-packed for sure, and a reasonably strong cast here.  Looks promising.

The synopsis: Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington) was an honest cop. Now he’s in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Desperate, he seizes the first chance to escape. As a crowd gathers below, police cordon off the area and agree to Nick’s request to speak with pretty police negotiator Lydia Anderson (Elizabeth Banks). But Lydia doesn’t know that she is part of his grand plan, a plan that could give them both a second chance.

Speaking quietly into a lapel microphone, Nick coordinates the high-tech theft of a $30 million diamond—the same diamond he was convicted of stealing. It’s the only way he can prove his innocence, but he needs Lydia’s help—and he’s running out of time. When his identity is exposed, a SWAT team positions itself on the roof, read to take him out. Lydia isn’t sure he’s telling the truth, but if he really was set up for the diamond heist, it had to be an inside job, which means at least one of the cops on the scene wants Nick dead. With SWAT about to move, cops destroying the evidence that could save him and nowhere to go but down, Nick’s chances of survival are getting slimmer by the minute.

This summer we were given a little teaser into ‘How To Make It In America’, Season 2. Now, we’ve got a little more insight into what’ll be happening this season thanks to the latest trailer. There’s no official UK start date yet but ‘How To Make It In America’ premiers in the US on October 2 on HBO.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars in this high-octane action-thriller about as a New York bike messenger on the ride of his life after he is tasked with delivering a special envelope.

The film will be out in the US on 13 January 2012 and in the UK on 17 February 2012.

Currently sitting pretty at the top of the US box office, Contagion is an action-thriller flick about a deadly viral outbreak. The film’s all-star cast includes. Matt Damon, Gywneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Laurence Fishburne and Marion Cotillard.

With flu season creeping round the corner, will you be watching this? Contagion comes out on 21st October 2011 in the UK.
